OK-things are different now. VERY DIFFERENT! So, let's make the most of it. Our instrument(s), our creativity and our compassion will get us through the Covid! For nearly 9--yeah--NINE YEARS--the Sunday Combo (Bend Student Jazz & Funk Ensemble) rehearsals have been a consistent source of opportunity for young musicians to learn & play music together. And, to have something to practice for and a time to "decompress" from the previous week and prepare for the next. WE'VE BEEN "ZOOMING" SINCE MARCH 15! We've now done a ton of private Zoom lessons and it's been good. At first I was skeptical--and it is different--but it also has some unique advantages; specifically, SAFETY! And, a new and productive way to have fun playing and learning together.
